I think we need to come up with a wider range of merit based awards, in order to preserve the meaning of the higher awards.
For example, being the architect of a winning strategy in a full NWOL game is more difficult than being the architect of the winning strategy of a single round of the Summer tournament. Yet currently the award is the same (MoE).
Is it possible to enforce some sort of organization to how we are putting the posts together?
Try to have it more like the Poland and Portugal discussions where each topic has its own spot, rather than having 64 different conversations happening in one thread or two master threads. If you have a pet project you should be able to easily find when new posts are added about it, rather than having to filter through stuff you are less interested in to find it.
Not sure there is an easy way to do it, but I think it would be worth the effort.

I have always been an advocate of implementing a system of National Goals for NWOL where victory is determined not simply by the number of VPs earned in battle, but rather by accomplishing historically based objectives.
All this talk of having a Bourbon player has gotten me thinking. (Always a dangerous thing)
If we are going to put the Bourbon's in, why not go the whole way and have France begin the game in a revolutionary state.
This is mostly for my own edification, but I figured I would post my first stab at some of my national goals ideas and see what people have to say. This is mostly planning for my pre-NWOL4 arguments. These are pretty rough and the fine details would have to be worked out in a fair manner. There are several numbers I have left as an X since I haven't figured out exactly how many cites should be taken etc.
I have started with the goals for Britain and France.
I somewhat deliberately set the bar high with the first Wish, so I'm hoping that the next wish is more grantable.
I would like the NWOL map to look like Europe in 1792.
The easiest fix is to put the Austrian Netherlands under Austrian control rather than Dutch. This will naturally somewhat enfeeble the Dutch, but it will hopefully put Austria into a position where its monarch thinks it can actually win the game. It also provides a nice (and historical) friction point between Austria and France.
