In advance of the posting of the revised Guild Awards List later this week, HOLF Directors and the Players' Guild Administration are pleased to announce the establishment of the following new awards to be issued to qualifying Guild members.
The Players' Guild Medal of Victory is awarded to all team members of the winning major, minor, and fragmented nation in completed non-test NWOL games,
and to all members of the winning side in any CWOL game past or present (if verification is possible). A member must have played for a majority of the game in question and must be on the roster of the winning nation (no volunteers) to be eligible for the award. This ribbon can be issued multiple times.
The Instructor Ribbon is awarded to all Guild members who have performed the role of Instructor in a HOLF-sanctioned Cadet Game. This ribbon will generally only be issued once to a member no matter the number of games instructed.
The Guild Service Award
will be issued for distinguished service to HOLF, the Players Guild, or any associated games. The award will generally only be issued once to a member regardless of types of service.
The Commandant Ribbon will be issued to any member who has served as a HOLF or related Academy Commandant and is recognized as such by the HOLF Board. The award will generally only be issued once to a member.
The Cadre Medal is awarded to all Guild members who (1) have at least two years experience in HOLF INCLUDING being deemed a fully
active player for at least half that period and (2) who have completed at least two HOLF-associated games (NWOL, CWOL, or future simulations.
