Battle for Northern Italy - The Venetian Perspective

(Registrar's note: The Venetian team was the clear winner in this scenario, and the always thought-provoking John Vanvark [also the Monarch] provides the commentary for the victors. John was joined by Taylor Rethmeier, John Gordon, and Phil Dean on the team. Please click on the attached file for John's detailed account of the path to Venetian success).

On Piedmont's SA

Nice John your report was much more detailed than mine, and It was nice to actually see what happened to the southern units on my team. Anyway, we didn't have SA because Ken Felts expressed that we needed to save crowns and that we would probably not have much use for them. So after about T3 in the first campaign both SA units in my army were disbanded.

SA units

Ken Felts is correct. I used them once - I think in Torino to bombard your MI units. Since we had a constantly moving game the SA held me up. They are restricted to two Strategic Squares and hold up a mobile army.
