Registrar's Guidelines

Once a new player has completed both the Site Profile AND the Guild Registry Application, he/she is officially a Guild Member and has all site privileges available to them. The Site Profile asks members about personal interests, demographics, and user information. The Registry Application asks about a member’s HOLF-gaming experience and pedigree. Most players who already had a previous HOLF Players Guild Forum account should resubmit a new Site Profile and Registry Application form since both have been revised. If a member is not sure whether to resubmit, please contact Matt through this site or at Mattmajewski1@gmail.com.

Any member can create their own blog, bet offer, forum topic or poll by clicking on the “Create content” link on the right side of the page. In addition, a member can read other comments or make their own voice heard by clicking the appropriate comment section at the bottom of each entry.

All created content on the site (blog posts, forum discussions, polls, etc.) can be accessed from the home page by left-clicking on the title of that entry or on any of the appropriate links on the right side of the page. A member can access their own account, peruse recent topics or view other guild members, access the forums page, or create new content on the site by accessing the set of links on the right-hand side of the page directly under your screen name. Some of the most important links on the site are grouped under the “Primary Links” section and should be read in full by all members. Members should be aware that many pages on this site will have sub-pages or certain options available when they access the page. For instance, a new member who left-clicks on the “My Account” link will automatically see the Profile answers that he/she gave when they created their account. By clicking on the “Edit” option (right next to the Member screen name) instead of “View”, the player can change their original responses and save those changes.

Behavior
The HOLF Players’ Guild Forum has been designed as a forum for all members to speak freely on any given topic that arises. Each member is able to create their own blog with control over the content of that account. In addition, we have a number of features planned for the future, including a restructured guild honors/pedigree page and a revised ancestry page amongst others. The Players’ Guild would like to establish a few simple guidelines for all members to keep in mind as they take part in this site.

The Guild Forum is intended to produce discussion – even spirited discussion at times – as we cover a wide variety of topics. All viewpoints are appreciated and everyone is encouraged to participate.

Please maintain a level of respect and integrity with your fellow guild members. Gross profanity, or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated and is grounds for the denial of commentary privileges, or even guild membership by Administrators in very extreme
circumstances. Be congenial…after all, your opponent today could very well end up as your playing partner tomorrow.

This site is administered by volunteers, and we will do our best to respond to any requests from players as soon as we can. Please be patient.

Any problems or questions with site navigation should be directed to "admin" or "Matt Majewski". They can be found by going to “Guild Forum Members” link, clicking on either member name and then the “Contact” option.
