IMPERIAL ARMY RECALLED FROM THE TURKISH BORDER

As the tension arises in Europe, the Imperial Army was recalled by the Emperor Karl von Osterreich from the Turkish border, which has been quiet since the Austrian victories of 1792.

Vast columns of battle-hardened men who fought the Turks for over 10 years fill the Hungarian roads on their way to central Austria. Locals say that it takes a week for the entire army to march past a location.

Their new assignment areas are still to be determined.

Leading these men is Adam Bajalics von Bajahaza, the Champion of the Empire, Grand Master of the Reformed Teutonic Knights, King of Hungary and Transylvania. Upon passing by the astonished citizens of Debrecin, he said "This comes in very good timing, as my men were very anxious for action. This army was not built to patrol borders which are only inhabited by the ghosts of dead Turks".

The Grand master was accompanied by his second-in-command, Jozsef Alvinczi Borberek, a Magyar Lord who only shows up after sunset, always followed by his loyal mastiff Sam. Known as the scourge of the Turks and the butcher of Turnova, this enigmatic man quickly progressed in the ranks of the Imperial Army despite his barbaric origins, due to his military skills, boldness in combat and a complete lack of mercy towards his enemies.

The editor of "Das Wien Zaiden" managed to arrange an interview with the elusive Magyar. When asked about the perspective of fighting in central Europe for the first time he said: "I do not have the inclination or the patience to obey what you civilized people call 'rules of war', which makes a battle look like a social event. In the East we have been fighting the Turks for our very existence during centuries, and learned to not offer nor expect mercy. We promise to serve the Empire well but cannot promise a pretty sight".

After that Jozsef, who DOES have the appearance of someone who have been fighting the Turks for centuries, retired to his quarters.

TRIESTE SHIPWRIGHT EXECUTED

After being blamed by a comission tasked to find out what is wrong with some of the recently built Frigates, the Trieste master shipwright was executed yesterday at dawn. Asked to comment on the execution, Grand Admiral Ercole III Rinaldo d'Este said: "I hope this serves as motivation for the next master shipwright. When I order ships to be built, it is assumed they will be able to fire broadsides without sinking."
