We at the British Admiralty are pleased to announce that the Dutch Frigate force of 19, plus one captured from us, is no more. It has ceased to be. It's expired and gone to meet its maker. This is a late navy. It's a stiff. Bereft of life, it rests in peace. This is an ex-navy.
Or at least half of one. We're working on the other half, the SL's, as it straggles back across the Atlantic to meet its final destiny below the waves.
We will perhaps entertain offers for any Dutch ships captured, to augment the navies of our valued allies.

Come on
Guys: we won´t buy any dutch ships! The british swash bucklers would sell us those which are full of holes; no sails etc.

Buy cheap Sell High
I just wanted to get them for a good price and then turn around and sell them to the French. Seemed like a good business idea to me. The French would have to pay an arm and a leg for them as the British are sinking their fleet left and right. Who couldn't use a few extra crowns in their treasury? Easy come easy go maybe I will get a railroad for Christmas.
yea but we could get'em
yea but we could get'em cheap!

As Naval Minister of Prussia I would be interested in discussing your price for these ships. I await your reply.

I live in Hong Kong and hit the local markets quite regularly. Very willing to bargain for these ships. He says 600crs I say 60crs and then walk away unless he gives them to us for 100...
