Declaration of War - Spain upon France

It is with regret the Government of Spain is issuing the formal declaration of war against the French Country. We have taken up arms with reluctance as we are of a country of peaceful traits - ill bred to follow the God of War - a God other nations seem much more willing to follow.
Once the plows have been converted into Swords however, we are intent on following it through to its logical conclusion, for we are a subborn , proud people and once roused are to be feared by all who oppose us.

This declaration is to be endorsed by our royal Monarch.

An Act of War is an Act of War

An Act of War is an Act of War, no preamble needed.

A suspicious person would color you a pawn of the "Rules-Smiths" to rotate the majors against France. So be it.

Emperor Maximilien de Robespierre

Suspicious minds

Only a truly suspicious person would think this way.

In this case it is purely happenstance. If it were not for the fact that French LC were caught deep inside Italy and provoked war with Austria. The likelihood of war this season would be very remote indeed. Thus consider war the product of French strategy and not that of some nameless mastermind directing a strategy against France. As France sows so shall she reap.

One need not look far for

One need not look far for excuses. This is a game of war after all.

True dat

Sometimes, you just want to play...it's really not that complicated. What were we supposed to do, sit on our thumbs for another couple of months? One should take that factor into consideration, as well.

nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition

I think the government was fueled by pressure from the Church.
