I'm not 100% sure where to post this, I figured the Officer's Club couldn't be wrong :)

We are looking to add three new people to the NWOL staff.

1) A new Academy commandant, to replace Roger Placzek who is retiring from the post after many years of service. We thank Roger for all his effort at the Academy and hope to see him in many future games. This post is primarily clerical at the moment - it involves responding to new player inquiries, administering the GITM course, and referring graduates to the cadet game staff. There may be opportunities to expand the Commandant's role at the interest of the new commandant.

2) A coordinator for recruitment and retention. This person's goal would be to expand the player base, both by finding new sources of players, and helping to keep the ones who join active and involved.

3) An additional GA. This person would learn to use the NWOL software and would run turns for either main games or cadet games as needed. We anticipate that, as the ROTD program moves to public games in the coming year, we will need one more GA to keep both NWOL and ROTD events going without halts for the GA schedule. This person may also learn to use the ROTD software (which is quite similar) depending on their interest and the interests of the other members of the GA staff.

Candidates for positions 1 and 3 require the approval of the HOLF Board. Otherwise, the only requirements are interest, dedication, and the ability to get the job done. Newer members of the Guild are particularly encouraged to apply.
