A few of us have been drafted to help refurbish various aspects of the HOLF site(s).
One of my jobs is to assemble a library for the use of the membership at large. The library will consist primarily of articles submitted by members. They will be heavily reviewed by an editorial board so that by the time they are posted they well and truly bear the HOLF seal of approval.
More details will be provided here soon as we are working hard at putting together the various bits and pieces of the thing.
Recently Ben Seib posted on this Guild site a lengthy "tips and tricks" article. It's actually quite good. However, some parts of it are just plain wrong. Ben is not to blame for that. He made it his explicit intent that we all would review it and, where necessary, correct it. Well, that hasn't happened and we are concerned that a new player could read it and take it all at face value -- a danger that the review process will avoid entirely with articles posted to the library.
So I would ask Ben and all the rest of you worthy scribes to hold your fire a bit longer when it comes to this kind of article. Once we have the library up and running we'll have a spot for your work and when the time comes, I would invite Ben to resubmit his article.
By the way, the authors of all articles will be properly credited except for you shy guys who don't want anybody to know how smart you are ...
