WINDOWS & HELP

I hope this is the place to ask?

I have recently bought a new PC and uses Windows 7 and Windows live mail as the email prog.. I am having difficulty opening my position reports properly. I can open the file okay, but when I try to open the blue sqs, red sqs or town the prog. sends me to TEMP files.
I would like to know if anyone else has run into this. Pop ups have been enabled as well as javascript. It may be a securty thing but if so why does it let me open position report file?

thanks in advance

Bob

It is a security thing

When this happened to me I fiddled with security settings. I am by no means any kind of expert, but here goes.

The click on things use Java Script or something like that. Whatever that is. In the security settings I enabled anything with the word java or script in it. That worked. Then I went back and disabled them all one by one until I figured out which one had to stay switched. that worked.

Recently I switched to Mozilla Firefox for some other reason and it turns out all of the NWOL stuff works just fine without any fiddling.

Windows 7 help

Okay! what is Mozilla Firefox?

Thanks

Web browser

It is a web browser like Windows Internet Explorer. Works easier than Internet Explorer and certainly does not take as much space on your hard drive.

Can I use both at the same

Can I use both at the same time or just the one/ Would I download firefox and then delete Internet Explorer?

There is a link for it on the right panel of this site

Look under SECONDARY LINKS (right side navigation panel) for the Mozilla Firefox link

No

You can download Firefox and keep Internet Explorer on your computer. You can choose which one you want to use. I have kept both on my computer but rarely if ever use Internet Explorer any more.

Firefox

Thanks for the help guys. I have downloaded Firefox and everything is working great.

I loves me some Firefox...

I also have Google Chrome, which--for some reason--doesn't have the tactical map height aberrations on rows where any flags are present (so I use it to screen capture my maps...yes, it bugs me).
