Spring 1793, T9 - Battle of Dortmund (France & Holland vs. Hannover, Mecklenberg, Prussia/Berg, Denmark). Actually two separate battles that were fought in close proximity to one another during T9 of Spring 1793. The combined results equated to a giant success for the English alliance. At Molbergen, 18 Prussian/German/Danish brigades under Overall Allied Commander Sir George MacKay squared off with 15 French and Dutch brigades. Ten more German/Danish brigades under Jim Chafield, the allied tactical commander for the battle), faced five brigades of Dutch defenders. Following intense fighting throughout T9, and significant losses, the French/Dutch were forced to relinquish more conquered ground as the front lines slowly ebbed back towards the Low Countries/Hannover border where the campaign had started. The English coalition's victory had some political ramifications too...Sweden and Pomerania joined with the English cause just afterwards.
