Brigade Formation Order Page
Brigade formation orders can be submitted by a state's Secretary of
the Treasury, or by its President or Vice-President, except that
militia brigades can only be formed by the state (bloc)'s Governor
and Congressman.
For city, enter the name of a city which is controlled by your state
and where a sufficient number of regiments are available. Include
the state code where necessary (e.g. to distinguish between Richmond
IN and Richmond VA).
For type, select the branch. Unit IDs will be assigned automatically
using the lowest unused number.
For commander and deputy, enter email addresses of the commanders
(it must be the same for all units). If not entered, the Secretary
of War will be commander and the President will be deputy.
For non-Q units: Enter the number of regiments (infantry and cavalry
and militia only) and the number of batteries (not available for
militia) you wish to include. Infantry and cavalry brigades must
have 3 to 5 regiments and 0 or 1 batteries. Artillery brigades must
have 3 or 4 batteries. Brigade strength will be 600 per infantry
regiment, 300 per cavalry regiment, 100 per battery, 500 per militia
regiment.
If you wish, you may specify particular regiments and batteries to
include, by typing a number and state code with no space in between
(e.g. type "6WI" to include Sixth Wisconsin.) Separate units by
spaces (to raise the Iron Brigade, if you have the correct regiments
in the same city, enter "2WI 6WI 7WI 19IN" for Regiments to include
and "4US" for Batteries to include).
For Q units: specify the state providing the manpower for the Q unit
(it can be any state on your side).
Weapons upgrade provides rifles for infantry or artillery, or
breechloaders for cavalry.
